We've had a busy week here at Brookside with a whole-school celebration, outdoor learning/Four Winds and our fantastic Thanksgiving Lunch feast!
Conferences
Family conferences are taking place throughout the month of November at BPS. You can expect to hear from your classroom teacher (if you have not already) very soon about scheduling a conference time.
School Start time
The official start time for school at BPS is 7:50. Please ensure your child(ren) arrive on time for school each and every as an important member of their learning community.
Music Notes
BPS Chorus
BPS Chorus will start on November 16th! Chorus is a singing group that rehearses once a week before school for 3rd and 4th grade students. If your child loves music and would like to have more of it in their week, they should come to the first few rehearsals to see what it is like. To officially sign up, students will need to return a completed permission slip by December 21st. 3rd and 4th grade classes will be talking about this opportunity in music class starting next week.
Chorus Rehearsal Schedule:
3rd Grade - Tuesdays from 7:40-8:10 (starts on November 16th)
4th Grade - Thursdays from 7:30-8:00 (starts on November 18th)

Holiday Giving Tree
Several area organizations are interested in sponsoring children and/or families during the upcoming holiday season. They have enlisted our help to make contact with interested families who have children and who would like to receive assistance. Paper forms have been sent home with students. These forms should be returned to the school no later than November 12th. If you have not completed a paper form you may also choose to complete an online form to record your responses.
