Brookside Blast 5/20/22

This week was full of excitement in our school community. Our arts team did a phenomenal job hosting the Art Show on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings. All students had artwork displayed in the show and a variety of mediums were showcased! On Thursday night, families were treated to the first concert/performance since the pandemic started in 2020. Third grade chorus students and the entire fourth grade class danced and sang their hearts out! It was a magical evening celebration - and it was truly special to be in community together at last.

In other news, second graders witnessed the cycle of life in real-time as their chicks hatched this week! By Friday afternoon, birds were in the brooder and were having opportunities to be held by students and explore the classroom bit by bit.

Living Tree Alliance - Summer Camp Openings

Living Tree Alliance, a community farm in Moretown hosts school field trips for Harwood, Waitsfield and Moretown school and offers farm and river camps this summer! We spend the mornings on the farm growing food for the foodbank and playing games in the pavilion and at our natural playground and the afternoons swimming in the rivers and creeks while exploring the trails and forests in back of Harwood. Kids enjoy taking care of our chickens and sheep, making fires, building forts and of course cooling down in the river and creeks on our property. Check it out, we have a few spots left!
