It was a busy third week of school and we are getting in the grove! Students are learning the routines in their specials and some have even met the persona dolls who make their home in the library! They love to be read to and are an important part of our community.
We had a great turnout for our first Walk and Bike to school event this year! Thanks to those who participated and supported this great event. We look forward to more school-community events this year!
We hope to see families on Monday and Tuesday for the fall open houses (schedule below). Students will be excited to show their families around their classrooms and the building. There will not be a formal presentation/gathering but please say 'hi' when you see us around!

Thank you for keeping the car lines moving in the morning and the afternoons, and for utilizing PickUp Patrol for all dismissal changes and updates.
Is your child going to be absent?
Please fill out the Absence Form AND update PickUp Patrol!
If you do not have access to the form, please call 802-244-7195 and press 2 when you hear the auto-attendant. Please do this as a LAST RESORT.
Please do not email the classroom teachers as most of them are unable to check their email until the end of the day.
Finally, here are some important dates to note:
September 28 - Picture Day! (Th/F PK photos)
October 6 - Staff Development - NO SCHOOL for students
October 9 - Indigenous People Day NO SCHOOL
October 17 - Picture retakes (M/T PK photos)
We look forward to seeing you at our open houses this week! Enjoy the weekend and stay healthy!
Warmly,
Sarah & Chris
PE News
Thank you to all of the families that participated in the Walk and Bike to School event on Wednesday. So happy that the weather held off until we got to school. Walking, biking and taking the school bus to school each day are great ways to do our part in minimizing our carbon footprint. If you live in the village and would like to lead a group of walkers or bikers to school on a more regular basis, please contact Carol Baitz at BPS.
PE Next Week: We will be moving into the gym to learn/review class expectations through small equipment use and games. Please have your child wear sneakers and bring a water bottle on PE days.
COMMUNITY POSTINGS
